Episode Overview

Mr. and Mrs. Estes are adjusting to life with their newborn twins, but with Bill Estes working long hours, Madeline struggles to care for both boys. Tragically, one night, one of the twins passes away unexpectedly in his sleep. While the medical team and police suspect Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, a determined and young medical examiner, Dr. Gauge, believes foul play is involved and calls in Lt. Monahan for further investigation. As Bill reflects on his wife’s growing frustration with the demands of parenting, he starts to worry that she might have harmed their child.
