Quincy, M.E. (1976)
S07E17 The Flight of the Nightingale
Episode Overview
With the hospital understaffed and no doctors available, nurse Lynn Buchanan takes it upon herself to administer medication to alleviate a patient's suffering. Tragically, the patient passes away, leading to Lynn’s suspension, despite the doctor's chart not explicitly forbidding her actions. Frustrated by the situation, the rest of the nursing staff decides to go on strike, viewing her suspension as the final provocation. Asten persuades Quincy to conduct a more thorough autopsy, motivated by concern for his wife, who is also receiving care at the hospital and was treated by Lynn.
