Episode Overview

As December rolls in, the festive atmosphere in Brokenwood is vibrant. However, the holiday cheer takes a dark turn when Mike and his team stumble upon a shocking scene: a man dressed as Santa Claus, his throat brutally cut. Mike insists it’s not Santa, but rather the beloved Mayor Evan Whitestone, who traditionally plays Santa during the Christmas parade. With local elections just around the corner, suspicion quickly shifts to his four political opponents, each of whom has a motive to eliminate Evan—or, more fittingly, a sharpened razor.
