Owen's home renovation project comes to a halt when city officials find out that the contractor, who has mysteriously vanished, failed to secure the necessary permits. To complicate things further, a power outage sends Owen and his family to his parents' house for the time being. At the same time, Joe grows increasingly anxious about the possibility that his daughter's former boyfriend may be following her.
