Norm stops by an antique store and discovers a charming round pedestal table, which the shopkeeper suggests might have Indonesian roots. The use of teak, a favored wood from that area, catches Norm's interest, as it allows for versatile indoor or outdoor use. However, the challenge lies in attaching the legs to the pedestal. Once the pedestal is shaped and still mounted on the lathe, Norm employs an innovative jig and router method to precisely create the mortises for a secure fit.
