Amidst his busy schedule filming The New Yankee Workshop and This Old House, Norm seldom finds the time to create personal projects. He openly acknowledges that his home is still "a work in progress." Seizing the moment, Norm decides to tackle a woodworking project at home. With his Rumford fireplace in need of a stylish enhancement, he designs a traditional Colonial fireplace mantel, crafting it from a selection of woods and moldings that can be easily sourced from home improvement stores across the country.
