Episode Overview

Nick, now at a new law firm, is given back the guardianship of young Hunter Reed, his very first case. In this episode featuring Polly Draper from "thirtysomething," Nick and his boss in child advocacy, Alvin, find themselves up against Nick's father, Burton, in court. Nick, now working for Burton's rival firm, Kirk and McGee, is reassigned to represent Hunter, a boy who witnessed his father's tragic act of violence after the contentious verdict for Hunter's dad is announced. Meanwhile, Alvin decides to take on a wrongful termination lawsuit for his ex-wife, Draper, only to discover that the company they are challenging is represented by none other than Burton.
