S01E13 Privilege
Episode Overview
Following a tumultuous experience at Kirk & McGee, Nick returns to Fallin & Assoc. just as Burton begins investigating the case of Susan Newberg, the deceased daughter of their longtime client and family friend, Frank Newberg. What starts as a probe into Susan's husband, Ray Harper, and the $11 million estate he stands to inherit, spirals into a shocking revelation of suicide linked to sexual assault. In a desperate move to safeguard Frank's youngest daughter and victim, a 16-year-old, Nick and Burton jeopardize their legal licenses and freedom by breaching attorney-client privilege. Meanwhile, first-year associate Amanda Bowles quits Fallin & Assoc. after Burton criticizes her volunteer efforts at CLS.
