Episode Overview

Mrs. Drysdale departs for a wellness retreat, joking that when she returns, Mr. Drysdale will have a "new wife." In her absence, Mr. Drysdale expresses to Cousin Pearl his desire for her to become his housekeeper. Misunderstanding his intentions, the Clampetts believe he wants to propose to Pearl. In response, Jed devises a scheme to preserve the Drysdales' marriage and prevent any romantic entanglement.
