Granny rouses everyone early in the morning to prepare the front yard for her garden, despite Mr. Drysdale, Miss Hathaway, and a particularly obstinate mule trying to intervene. To demonstrate the convenience of store-bought groceries, Miss Jane takes Granny to a massive supermarket, hoping to convince her that growing her own food isn't necessary.
