Episode Overview

Title: The Indians Are Coming Plot: An Indian reservation lies adjacent to the O.K. oil fields in the Hills, prompting the chief to seek a discussion about the property line with Jed. Misinterpreting the situation, Granny assumes the Indians are preparing for battle and grabs her gun upon learning they are heading to Beverly Hills. To create a diversion, Mr. Drysdale hires actors to stage a fake Indian attack on the mansion. Granny valiantly defends the house until she runs out of ammunition. Meanwhile, Jed meets with the Chief to resolve the boundary issue peacefully. In a delightful twist, John Wayne makes a brief cameo at the episode's conclusion.
