Raven's birthday arrives, but she's not in the mood for festivities. Before Robin can uncover her reasons, the Titans get a distress signal and head out to investigate. Upon arrival, they are confronted by Slade, who has mysteriously returned from the dead. This time, he possesses new abilities and bears a peculiar red mark on his forehead. Slade is determined to deliver a message to Raven, and nothing will stop him from doing so.
