Herr Flick remains imprisoned in the dungeons, and if he breaks, he could reveal that the painting of the Fallen Madonna is a forgery. To prevent this, Helga, Von Smallhausen, and René - disguised as Himmler - plan a rescue mission. Meanwhile, the Colonel and the Lieutenant receive orders from the General to allow Herr Flick to perish during a Resistance attempt to save him. However, fearing they might get caught in the crossfire, they don Gestapo uniforms to mount their own rescue, only to discover that René is the one in chains instead.
