Laura aims to lift her mother Sandra's spirits after the loss of her father a year ago and a recent car accident that left her injured. To help, Chayse and the team step in to revamp Sandra's bedroom, which also functions as a computer space, a homework area for kids, and a social hub. Their goal is to make it more practical and inviting for all its uses. Meanwhile, Laura has a heartwarming surprise planned: her boyfriend Tim, who has been serving in Afghanistan, has returned home, and Sandra is blissfully unaware of this joyful news.
