Episode Overview
Carbo’s mother, Rita, comes from Lesbos to stay with Artemis, the 18-year-old daughter of her close friend, for six weeks. While Ben and Melissa hint at the possibility of romance, Carbo views Artie as a younger sister. However, Artie isn’t as innocent as Rita believes. At the beach, she hooks up with Dane, a guy from Facebook. As Carbo tries to rein in Artemis's reckless behavior, he inadvertently pushes her away. Yet, after a quick, innocent kiss, he finds himself overwhelmed by unexpected feelings. Was this part of Rita's plan all along? Meanwhile, Sammy prepares to interview two young professionals for her first writing assignment. To her surprise, Nathan, wanting to be supportive, suggests she reach out to her ex, Owen. Is Nathan concealing guilt over a kiss with Layla? And when Sammy interviews Layla too, will secrets come to light?
