Ben starts feeling like the protagonist in a horror movie, questioning Melissa's dedication to parenthood as he senses trouble brewing. When Melissa feels nauseous during dinner, Ben jumps to the conclusion that she's pregnant and is thrilled, but Melissa's uncertainty leads her to postpone taking the test and deflect Ben's probing questions about her feelings. Next door, Dave is pulling extra shifts, hoping to save for a vacation in Fiji, but his plans get derailed by an unexpected tax bill arriving at his door. Rachel heads into a crucial pitch meeting, inspired by Jake's support, only to find her ideas shot down by the client. Unbeknownst to her, her conniving coworker Liam is undermining her efforts. Will Rachel catch on to his scheme, or will he outsmart her? Meanwhile, Carbo, fueled by his horror movie binge, becomes convinced that Mrs. Luscombe's vacant house is haunted. His paranoia amuses Nathan, who playfully escalates Carbo’s fears.
