Julie's self-assurance as a mother takes a hit when her baby Ruby refuses to breastfeed. After many sleepless nights, Julie finally admits she can't handle it alone, realizing that sometimes letting go can lead to unexpected breakthroughs. Meanwhile, Nathan, newly single, goes out with Carbo, leaving Ben feeling sidelined. It quickly becomes clear that Nathan is just going through the motions, and the brothers bond over some comforting drinks. Jake faces his own challenges when his mom starts dating, prompting Rachel to call him out on his overprotective behavior. Mel's loyalty is put to the test when she unexpectedly encounters Sammy, who pleads with her not to reveal that she's still in town to Nathan.
