Episode Overview

In 1918, as peace negotiations unfold, Tommy and Michael remain entrenched on the battlefield. Tommy finds joy in the birth of his son, while Michael draws strength from the letters he receives from Katie. After four long years of conflict, whispers of an impending truce circulate among the troops. However, the path to peace is fraught with complications, as politicians debate terms while the shelling persists. When a bomb destroys a barbed-wire fence, Tommy steps up to repair it, unexpectedly encountering Michael. With the end of the war in sight, they must decide whether to fight or flee.
