Eric enjoys having Hyde around as a "brother," relishing the fact that Hyde takes on all his chores. However, when Eric notices that his parents begin to favor Hyde, jealousy takes root, and he starts to resent him. Hyde's transformation from the wild, conspiracy-loving friend Eric admires to a dull companion frustrates him. Meanwhile, Midge and Bob face challenges in their relationship.
