In a poignant culmination of the intertwined lives of Hortense, Queenie, and Gilbert, the story unfolds against the backdrop of post-World War II London. As Hortense embarks on her life in England, she quickly realizes it’s not the paradise she imagined. Both she and Gilbert face discrimination and prejudice, yet through these challenges, they uncover deeper facets of themselves and slowly fall in love. Queenie is taken aback when her husband Bernard unexpectedly comes back after years apart.
