Episode Overview
Reporter Barbara Webb recognizes Fred Johnson, a one-armed man, during a police sweep connected to a murder investigation. Remembering the Kimble case while discussing it with her editor, Herb Malone, she snaps a picture of Johnson and publishes it in the local paper. This draws both Richard Kimble and Detective Gerard to the area. As Gerard waits at the police station for Kimble's arrival, Kimble spots Johnson in the jail courtyard. Johnson, noticing Kimble, escapes and steals a car. Barbara spots Kimble and offers him a ride as they pursue Johnson. Their high-speed chase ends when Johnson crashes, and Kimble, realizing Johnson could exonerate him, tends to his injuries. Although unable to speak due to a head injury, Johnson nods when Kimble asks if he killed Helen. Meanwhile, Barbara documents a confession on her typewriter.
