When Kimble sees Fred Johnson near a fire, he pursues him but is sidetracked by a woman injured in a traffic accident. After ensuring she reaches the hospital safely, Kimble learns she is Johnson's girlfriend. Unbeknownst to Kimble, Johnson has already reached out to her, instructing her to notify the authorities. As the situation unfolds, Gerard shows up at the hospital, having received a tip, and sets a trap for Kimble, hoping to finally catch him.
