In a twisted attempt at arcane research, a group conducts gruesome experiments on a hapless man, killing him in the process and attempting to bring him back using a serum that was taken from Alec Holland long ago. When the man is resurrected, he emerges with alarming side effects that make him dangerous to anyone who comes into contact with him, including the Swamp Thing.
