Jack Turner is pushed to place bids that exceed his budget. Sam is determined to uncover how he plans to gather the necessary funds quickly. It appears that Turner has concocted a sinister scheme involving hedge fund manager Lewis Conroy, and Sam is on the hunt for the link between them. Meanwhile, Aidan stumbles upon some of Sam's hidden truths and starts his own inquiry into the situation.
