Episode Overview

After joyriding in a police car, Bart feels sure that Judge Snyder will let him off the hook. However, Snyder goes on vacation, leaving Bart at the mercy of the stern Judge Constance Harm. She criticizes Homer for being an unfit father and orders him to be tethered to Bart. Initially resistant, the pair gradually find common ground. Meanwhile, Marge can’t stand the situation any longer and cuts the tether. In a fit of anger, Homer and Marge confront Judge Harm, leading to the sinking of her houseboat. Ultimately, as Bart braces for a five-year stint in juvenile hall, Judge Snyder unexpectedly returns and dismisses Harm's verdict.
