During a Springfield Isotopes baseball game, Homer energizes the audience and is selected as the new team mascot. His presence quickly turns him into a fan favorite, and the Isotopes find themselves on a winning streak. Due to this success, Homer is offered a promotion to the Capital City Capitals, a team in the nearby Capital City.
