Goldman, a columnist for The Springfield Shopper, publishes Grampa's story, garnering him unexpected attention. Later, Grampa crosses paths with Mitch Albom and tells Goldman another captivating story for a follow-up piece. Meanwhile, Homer grows envious of Grampa’s sudden fame and looks for a father figure. When he stumbles upon a draft of Goldman's next article, Homer rushes to find Grampa before it changes his life forever.
