After realizing that his parents favor Homer's company over his, Flanders reacts with jealousy and punches Homer in the eye. Following this outburst, he makes frantic attempts to make amends with Homer. Meanwhile, Lisa finds herself puzzled and hurt as her new substitute teacher seems to pick on her without any clear reason.
