Following a disagreement, Marge decides to take Lisa on a sightseeing adventure to Capital City. After watching a musical, they have a chance encounter with the star of the show, who reminds Lisa of how fortunate she is to have such a wonderful mother. Meanwhile, Bart feels weighed down by the expectation to pull pranks, so he enlists Maggie's help to devise some clever tricks of their own.
