Homer finds himself reluctantly taking on the role of coach for the children’s lacrosse team alongside Milhouse's father, Kirk, who is eager for companionship. As Kirk’s dependence grows, Homer expresses his frustration, calling him a loser during a moment of venting. Unfortunately, Kirk overhears this and vanishes just when the team is gearing up for the crucial championship game, leaving them in a tough spot without his support.
