Arthur, Ford, and their friends make their way to the Restaurant at the End of the Universe, situated on Magrathea, where a once-thriving planet-building complex lies in ruins, all thanks to the exploding computers. Here, you can indulge in an extravagant five-course meal and enjoy a cabaret without spending a dime, even as the universe crumbles around you. To their astonishment, they find Marvin still hanging out in the restaurant's starship parking area, having waited there for quite some time. Eager to escape, they opt to hijack a spaceship, but it turns out to be the stunt ship from Disaster Area, the loudest rock band ever, which is set to dive straight into the sun. What will happen next?
