In Lapland, located in northern Europe, the climate is warming at an alarming rate, posing a significant threat to the indigenous Sami community. Reindeer herding, a vital aspect of Sami culture, is increasingly jeopardized by the risk of starvation due to changing environmental conditions. Additionally, the Sami express concerns that proposed railway construction aimed at tapping into Lapland's natural resources could further endanger their traditional lifestyle. For Our World, Erika Benke travels to Arctic Finland to listen to Sami women as they share their anxieties about what lies ahead.
