However, eight months ago, Alia Azizi, a 45-year-old police officer from Herat, vanished without a trace. Her family remains in the dark about her fate. Yalda Hakim heads to Afghanistan to delve into Alia's case. She engages with female activists and protesters who have been silenced by fear, pressing the Taliban on their lack of action regarding the disappearances of women like Alia.
