Episode Overview

Tess and Stevie’s ongoing tension escalates this week when a private investigator arrives at Drover's Run. Initially, Tess is willing to believe Stevie’s story about witnessing a rodeo accident in the north. However, her suspicions resurface when she catches Stevie packing her things. Stevie, still tight-lipped about the situation, offers her resignation, which Tess accepts with a sense of relief. As Stevie prepares to leave, Jodi, Meg, and Tess discover that little Charlotte has been bitten by a redback spider. Fearing for Charlotte's safety, Tess reluctantly accepts a ride with Stevie to the hospital, but the journey quickly becomes chaotic. With the investigator on their trail and Charlotte suffering a heat-induced fit, time is running out. In a desperate move, Stevie takes to the skies in a stolen plane, racing against the clock to save Charlotte’s life, leaving Tess terrified that she might lose her precious connection to the past.
