As Jeff goes through his tedious routine in the ball cage, relying on the outdated pitching machine, he yearns for a real challenge from a human pitcher. On the occasion of his and Gidget's 8th wedding anniversary, Gidget is determined to surprise Jeff with the ultimate gift: the opportunity to have professional baseball pitcher Jerry McGibbon (Jeff Yagher) pitch to him. Despite her exhaustion, she pulls out all the stops to make this dream come true for Jeff.
