Elyse's passion for supporting various causes leads her to pour all her energy into committee work, leaving Steven feeling overlooked and unappreciated. When he returns home, thrilled about winning an award for his public television documentary, his attempts to celebrate are continuously interrupted by Elyse's many commitments. Eventually, she starts to understand that in her quest to help others, she has been neglecting her most important role as a wife and mother.
