When Steven's newly divorced brother Rob comes to visit with his son and daughter, the Keatons find themselves caught up in their relatives' family issues. Following his divorce, Uncle Rob has left his CPA job behind to embrace life as a telephone repairman, relishing the chance to work outside. However, his teenage daughter Marilyn struggles with this shift, feeling that their new financial situation is a significant burden on the family—and especially on her.
