Episode Overview

For over thirty years, George and Marlene Dowdle successfully cultivated a family-run business specializing in aquaculture, famous for their PEI oysters. However, everything shifts when Marlene is diagnosed with a severe form of cancer, forcing their business to take a secondary role to her treatment. While he stays by her side in the hospital, George receives a shocking call from a worried friend who informs him that one of their oyster leases is being robbed. Unable to leave Marlene, George contacts the Department of Fisheries and Oceans and recruits a colleague to document the theft, resulting in the first successful prosecution for oyster theft in Prince Edward Island.
