In 1985, 21-year-old Julie Estes was kidnapped while working the night shift at a Southside convenience store. The following day, her body was discovered, having been both raped and strangled. For years, her murder remained a mystery until 2003, when the cold case unit of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office took a fresh look at the case, aiming to utilize DNA evidence to identify the perpetrator.
