On May 20, 2001, Carrie Nelson, a 20-year-old employee at a state park, was brutally murdered in the park office during her afternoon shift while alone. Although there was a significant amount of evidence collected from the scene, it ultimately exonerated the primary suspect rather than implicating him. After six years and following up on 600 leads, breakthroughs in DNA technology finally allowed investigators to identify and bring the true killer to justice.
