Episode Overview

On a bridge, Gary and Chuck prepare to intervene as a man is about to be struck by a vehicle, unaware that the man in danger is actually Gary himself, who is soon left unconscious. While recovering in the hospital, Gary encounters Rachel, a young woman anxiously waiting for a heart transplant. Their conversation turns to faith, as Rachel probes Gary about his spiritual beliefs. Following a shocking announcement that she will receive the heart of a young boy who died in a robbery, Gary faces a moral dilemma: to save the boy and sacrifice Rachel or let her live by allowing the boy to remain lost.
