As a result, several people, including Madeline Bassett and Lady Florence Cray—who is now engaged to Bertie—are eager for Bertie to swipe the manuscript. Meanwhile, Stiffy Byng is organizing a village show in Totleigh-on-the-Wold, featuring a humorous exchange between Gussie and Spode, along with a performance by her fiancé, Stinker Pinker.
