The Amazing Race (2001)

Episode Overview

With five teams still in the race—Kevin/Drew, Frank/Margarita, Rob/Brennan, Joe/Bill, and Nancy/Emily—they set off from the pit stop to the Temple of Dawn in Bangkok. Kevin and Drew are the first to head out. Only Nancy/Emily and Joe/Bill can still use the Fast Forward, as the other teams have already claimed theirs. Nancy insists they need the Fast Forward to stay in the competition, leading both teams to pursue it, though Nancy and Emily show some reluctance. To reach Bangkok, the teams can travel by train or bus. After arriving in the early hours, they receive a Detour at the Temple of Dawn. They must get to a monastery in Kanchanaburi using either a public bus or a private car, armed only with a license plate number. The Fast Forward challenge awaits at the Reclining Buddha, where the teams must complete a traditional ritual involving dropping a specific amount.
