The Amazing Race (2001)

Episode Overview

The teams depart from their Pit Stop at the Triho de Taipa Pequena 2000, receiving instructions to fly 7,500 miles to Guam and then drive nine miles to Anderson Air Force Base. After a tough time securing flights, one team just manages to board the first flight alongside the other three. Upon arrival at the Air Force Base, naval officers guide the teams to a control tower, where they receive a clue for a Detour, allowing them to choose between cleaning or a thrilling aerial challenge. While heading to the next task at the U.S. Naval Base, one team gets lost and needs assistance from locals to find their way. As the other teams tackle the Roadblock—a search-and-rescue challenge—they struggle to keep up. Ultimately, one team falls far behind and checks in last at the Pit Stop, Fort Soledad, resulting in their elimination. The remaining three teams advance to the finale, competing for the one million dollar prize.
