The Amazing Race (2001)

Episode Overview

As the race enters its second-to-last leg, the remaining teams know that one will be sent home while the top three will compete for the million-dollar prize. They begin their journey in Osaka, Japan, where they receive a clue directing them to the Umeda Sky Garden, which opens at 10 A.M., giving the last-placed team a significant edge. Once there, teams learn they must fly 1,000 miles to Taipei, Taiwan. After arriving, they take a high-speed train to Taichung and then a taxi to Acrobatics Jeep. Tensions rise between teams, with one declaring they’re “out for blood” and threatening to pull another racer’s dreadlocks. Each team faces a Roadblock involving two thrilling rides in stunt cars. They then take another high-speed train, but one team must first complete a Speed Bump. All teams finish a Detour that requires them to walk barefoot on sharp stones. The race culminates at the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial
