Episode Overview
The teams set off from their Pit Stop in Africa, first visiting a former slave house that served as a holding site before the journey to the New World. There, a memorial deeply resonates with Gus, prompting him to reflect on the human side of The Amazing Race. Next, they fly to Germany, where they hunt for a clue among the remnants of the Berlin Wall. After some teams struggle to locate the clue, they head to a statue of broken chains near a church that suffered damage during World War II. In the Detour, teams must decide between linking sausages or visiting a Beer House to find their images on coasters and trade them for beer. Later, a Roadblock challenges one team member to race a soapbox car down a mountain. Ultimately, a mistake by one team leads to a surprisingly close finish.
