S01E21 Making the Grade
Episode Overview
Max has been struggling in school lately due to his superhero responsibilities. When his teacher searches through his bag for his science project, she unexpectedly discovers Steel. Initially intending to return Steel, Max realizes that this mix-up might be his only chance to salvage his grade, impressing the teacher by convincing her it's an electronic shoe warmer. The following day, Extroyer learns about the Ultra-Link at school and purchases it, motivated by their previous encounter to create a device that unleashes all his powers simultaneously. Max calls in N-Tek for help, leading to an epic showdown against a monstrous hybrid of Extroyer and his various animal forms. Just in time, Max retrieves Steel and forces Extroyer to submit, narrowly escaping by triggering the adapter’s self-destruct. Back at school, Max decides to genuinely work on a science project; although it doesn't shine like Steel, the teacher decides to pass him anyway.
