Waking the Dead (2001)

Episode Overview

Marina, a young woman, ignites an abandoned car on the street, documenting the flames with her camera. Boyd happens to pass by and quickly tackles her to the ground, trying to protect her from a potential explosion. Later, he discovers that Marina's father died in a car accident at that very location years ago, and she is adamant that it was no accident. Although it’s not classified as a cold case, Boyd finds himself drawn to the mystery and reluctantly agrees to look into it. Frankie conducts forensic tests on Marina's father's vehicle and reveals he could have survived the crash. The revelations they uncover suggest that the threat to Marina is far more serious than they originally thought.
