The investigation begins when a woman's body is found brutally stabbed in the eyes and burned in her car. She is identified as Claire Somers, who had a troubled childhood, being placed in care and later kidnapped at just seven years old in 1986. On the night of her abduction, Robert Fenchurch suffered a similar fate, having his eyes stabbed out as her kidnapper escaped. As the case unfolds, the team uncovers that Claire had taken 15-year-old Abigail Harding, who was discovered confined in a hotel room.
