S01E39 Monkian's Bargain
Episode Overview
Monkian approaches Mumm-Ra and promises to give him anything in exchange for the power to dominate Third Earth. Mumm-Ra agrees and grants him Power Spheres that enhance his strength and provide him with formidable weapons. With this newfound power, Monkian successfully freezes all the Thundercats, ultimately defeating Lion-O and seizing the Sword of Omens to deliver back to Mumm-Ra. However, Mumm-Ra reveals that Monkian must remain in his pyramid for eternity, allowing him to keep the spheres but trapping him behind ever-replenishing walls. While they argue, Lion-O manages to reclaim the Sword and liberates the other Thundercats. In the end, Monkian relinquishes his power to regain his freedom.
